New Hedge in Millennium Field

With the permission of East Garston Parish Council, EGEG will be planting a 60 metre section of hedge which is currently fenced on the Millenium Field boundary. If you would like to help plant the whips (which are being supplied by the Woodland Trust in November) please email ecoeastgarston@gmail.com and we will get back you when we have a date confirmed.
It is an open, sunny location which should provide an ideal habitat for a range of insects, including butterflies, beetles and bees, which will in turn support small mammals, such as hedgehogs and bats.
If you would like to donate any native saplings growing in your garden please also email ecoeastgarston@gmail.com. If you are not sure of the species please send us a photo (while the leaves are still on!).
