EAST GARSTON PARISH COUNCIL
VACANCY FOR PARISH CLERK


We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to take on the post of Clerk to
the Parish Council. The Parish Clerk plays a key role in the management of the affairs of the
Parish, working closely with elected Councillors in this important part of Local Government.

 

16 hours per month.
 

Starting salary £10.41 - £14.86 per hour based on skills and experience.
 

Duties include: Advising the Council on relevant matters; Managing the Council’s finances;
Administering Council meetings, including attending evening meetings and minute taking;
Managing correspondence, Record keeping and Compiling Statutory returns.

 

You will need: Excellent communication and organisation skills; good IT skills, including use
of spreadsheets, Zoom and other packages; ability to manage accounts; and ideally some
experience of working in Local Government or other statutory services.
