Jonathan Rabbitts - Chairman

Jonathan has lived and farmed in the immediate locality virtually all of his life. He is married to Joanne and they have 2 children. Driving through and around East Garston everyday he can keep up with what is happening in the village and feels well placed to lend assistance should any problems arise. As a Parish Councillor and current Chairman he likes to think he can keep and maintain all that is good in our village for future generations.

Sue Tulloch - Vice Chairman

Register of Interests

Sue moved to the village from London in 2003 with her husband Freddie. She helps to run an Events and Corporate Hospitality business in the village and works with Freddie on the farm and shoot.  They have four children, 2 boys & 2 girls, the last 3 born here & christened at All Saints Church. She is a trustee of the Village Hall.  Sue loves running, particularly around the beautiful countryside of East Garston; she also loves to cook and to play golf – badly!

Deana Carpenter - Councillor

Register of Interests

Deana was born in East Garston and has lived in the village for most of her life. The only time she has been away from the village was when she lived in Newmarket for two years whilst her husband Danny was stationed with the USAF at RAF Lakenheath. She has worked for an IT company as their financial controller for 18 years. She is actively involved in the Social Club. She enjoys reading, ten pin bowling and socialising.

Annabelle Eyre - Councillor

Register of Interests

Annabelle moved to East Garston with her parents , Monica and Jim, in 1988 and has lived here off and on since then, making it her permanent home in 2007.   She currently works in Westminster in central Government .  An enthusiastic dog walker (of wirehaired dachshunds) and a slow runner, she makes the most of the surrounding countryside.

David Ruse - Councillor

David has lived in the village for 25 years with his wife Carole who runs Cosy Paws Cattery.  Their two adult daughters grew up in the village. Retiring from a 40 year career in Local Government, David now follows his interests in railways, historic buildings and the natural environment, cooking, and reading, as well as supporting Carole in running the cattery and driving their Welsh ponies.  David is Secretary of the Friends of Lambourn Library and leads our Community Speedwatch team.

Chris Tonge - Councillor

Register of Interests

Chris first came to the village in 1959 to work. He met Dawn in 1963 and they married in the parish church in 1965. They moved away but returned in 1979 to run the shop and post office until 2006 when they retired. He has served on the Parish Council for more than 30 years and has been Chairman several times. They have two children, a son who lives in the village and daughter who also lives locally.

Alan Breadmore - Clerk

Alan is married to Jackie and they have two adult sons who grew up in the village and now also have three grand-daughters. He has lived in the village for over 30 years and is retired from a career in international sales, marketing and administration management in the IT industry. He is now pleased to be able to apply his commercial skills to benefit the community. His other interests include walking, travel, scuba diving and cricket.
